    Green Party hopes at the next election in Brighton and Bristol

    As Labour continue to extend their lead in the polls, we look towards their further-left counterpart: The Green Party. The Greens are polling towards their highest levels ever, and in a Labour government could act as a progressive parliamentary counterweight, holding the Labour government to account.

    However, as shown below, only two seats look on course for a Green victory: Sian Berry in Caroline Lucas' current seat, Brighton Pavilion, and Green Party co-leader Carla Denyer in Bristol Central. Elsewhere, Adrian Ramsay (Waveney Valley), Emma Buckmaster (Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket) and Chris McFarling (Forest of Dean) are the only other Green candidates within (remote) reaching distance of an election-day victory.
